Nearing the End

We experienced a lot of rain and cold for the picnics this weekend. Thanks to our committed and dedicated supporters in Utah County, the show went on. Reps. Becky Lockhart, John Dougal, Mike Morley, Margaret Dayton, Ken Sumsion, Chris Herrod, Craig Frank and Carl Wimmer all spoke on the formation of the caucus, the recent bills passed and our future goals and commitments.

Uintah County picnic goers were directed to the home of Joni Crane, in Vernal, for an indoor meeting with Chris Herrod, Craig Frank and Carl Wimmer. This was a very supportive group of citizens who were full of questions, suggestions and comments. We enjoyed a casual pot-luck style dinner and great commradre.

The last two picnics are scheduled for next weekend. The first will be held at the Emma Russell Park in Roy on Friday, June 18 at 7:00. The final picnic will be held at the Merlin Olsen Central Park in logan on Saturday, June 19, at 5:00.

  1. Why doesn’t the Patrick Henry caucus post more? I would have thought if this is a serious effort at organizing this group, you would post daily or even weekly about all of the things going on in government which you are supposedly fighting against. So far the only thing it seems you have contributed to the conservative movement is some video shot in the capitol. When will pch move beyond ambiguous fluffy statements and actually contribute something?

    • Jeff,

Great apologies for not responding to your comment on the Patrick Henry Caucus blog sooner. There is no excuse, really, considering your comment was made in September.

The blog has been down since the end of Summer — With plans and goals being made since then. The blog will be going through a “re-launch,” period this month. Reporting on sponsored legislation by the Caucus, legislation proposed by Caucus members, meetings, and other news (State and National) pertaining to what the Caucus is focused on.

Hope to see you on our Blog.

      Highest Regards,

      P. Keith Hart
